Biography: Dezhong Yao is currently an associate professor at the School of Computer Science and Technology, Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). He is a member of the National Engineering Research Center for Big Data Technology and System at HUST. He obtained his BS and Ph.D. in computer science from HUST in 2006 and 2016 respectively. Before joining HUST in 2019, He was a research fellow at Nanyang Technological University. From 2010 to 2012, He was a visiting student at Carnegie Mellon University.
My research interests include distributed machine learning, federated learning and distributed optimization systems in ubiquitous environment. Specific topics include:
